

Nicky is a disabled, queer Puerto Rican comic artist, flatter, and colorist. She is the creator of the ongoing webcomic, The Unlucky Ones and the Edge of Nowhere, and the illustrator of the award-winning Con Papá/With Papá, authored by Frederick Luis Aldama. Her zines and comics explore mental health, the impermanence of time and memory, existential ennui, and the meaning of home. Nicky specializes in bold colors, the depiction of heartfelt emotions, and animated and expressive characters in her work and is primarily interested in illustrating new adult/upper YA and adult graphic novels and comics.
Things she loves to work on: slice-of-life, road stories, existential horror, Puerto Rican and Caribbean stories, queer stories (preferably not didactic), volleyball stories
